Astrology has always been a part of my life, I remember as a child having books about my Sun sign and as I progressed into university, buying day by day horoscope books (remember those, if you are of a certain age!) which I lived for!
I always had a desperate yearning to be able to read my own chart and transits, but it wasn’t until I was in my 40s that I discovered the astrology school, which I went on to study with. In the astrology world, they say an older astrologer has a lot more to bring to readings- having lived through major astrological events, such as Saturn returns,and navigated births, deaths and relationship shifts. I hope that’s what I’m able to bring to my clients; astrology, sprinkled with some real life experience.
Why your Birth Chart is the Best Place to Begin
When you begin the journey of learning astrology you always start with your own chart, because well, who knows you better than you! I love empowering people with the skills to unlock their true potential using their own birth chart. It helps you make sense of who you are on a deeper level, and can show you where your natural talents lie, what drives you emotionally, and how you relate to others. With this insight, you can move through life with more self-awareness, compassion, and purpose—making decisions that truly align with your soul. On some levels it can be a form of therapy or inner healing for some.
From Classroom to Cosmos
As a qualified tutor in adult education, I’ve found that astrology fits beautifully into the lifelong learning model. There’s always something new to discover—and teaching astrology feels like a natural extension of my passion and profession.
There’s always something new to learn and I imagine myself studying into old age- it’s such a fascinating subject. I remember attending a seminar once and an astrologer describing how she felt once she’d discovered astrology, that there simply “wasn’t enough years” to learn everything. I love that about it.
