Louisa Clark - Ashtanga Yoga
Me :
Louisa is a dance, yoga and barre teacher. A professional dancer for over ten years, movement has always been Louisa’s medicine! Her love of yoga initially started as a way to maintain flexibility and wind down after shows, this love then developed into a passion and definitive career move leading her to train as a yoga teacher. Expect flowing sequences, a little challenge and a lot of calming energy in Louisa’s classes - her ethos is that moving our bodies allows us to settle deeper into stillness. She believes yoga is truly for everyone and welcomes all levels to her classes!
The class :
Weekly one hour Ashtanga yoga classes - a way to explore the Ashtanga Primary Series but in a fun and playful way. A traditional set sequence of Sun Salutations, standing, seated and inverted postures focusing on marrying the breath with the movement for a meditative experience. The repetition of the sequence each week allows you to build strength plus feel the progress and benefits of each posture as well being able to enter a "flow state". We will play around with which sections of the Primary Series we do each week to allow time to build up to some of the more advanced poses. This is a strong practice but lots of options will be given to help you find the version that feels best on your body! Some previous yoga experience advised.
If you have any concerns about the practice, please feel free to get in touch with me.
